This is a dream I had a looong time ago about watching the Sun explode while everyone on Earth was trying to escape. The scene I witnessed was one of the most beautiful and terrifying things I’ve ever seen or imagined.

The Sun in the painting isn’t exploding of course, but on the verge of it. I couldn’t even begin to try to paint the colors and effects I saw in that dream. It was a very short dream, but so vivid I can still remember the majority of it to this day. I was a young child, and my dad and I were running to get to the ships before the end. Unfortunately, or maybe not, the Sun went super nova while we were still making our way to the lines of ships. I got to see the Sun explode, and while we were standing there watching it I saw every one of the ships on their way out of the atmosphere burn up and vanish. The dream ended there, but it was truly incredible to witness.

A painting can never do it justice, but I still like it nonetheless.
